Niks just bought an ancient Bedford ice cream van, which has been converted into a kitchen on wheels….. Ok it’s a burger van at present, but once finished with, it will be the latest addition to Healthy Yummies arsenal ……… the ultimate field kitchen, coming to a fashion shoot, farmers market, school fete or pop promo near you soon……. Watch this space !

These really beaten up pair of Redwing Irish setters. I’ve had new pairs in the past and I really cant be bothered with spending two years breaking them in…………. So I thought i’d buy a pair that some fishermen in Maine had worn in for me……. Alas the Ebay gods had other ideas.

Not that my girlfriend will ever agree to hanging this in our home (although you never know) or that this image will even fit with the other style choices I’ve made. And yet I still felt compelled to buy this black light poster (see earlier post) of a girl on a motor cycle circa 1970………. Incidentally the tattoo on her body glows under a black light !
There was something about it that reminded me of the work of one of my favorite artists Richard prince, and the cover art for books such as suede head and Boot boy, by author Richard Allen.
I guess I’m saying I was compelled by genetic make up, nostalgic nature and cultural heritage………. Or am i just saying “I buy it because it has some great articles on bikes and politics……….honest”

I finally won, this pair of classic LL Bean Maine hunting boots. I’ve been trawling Ebay since I placed this item on my “things I covet” section awhile back. This pair was the 4th that I bid on (don’t you hate the frustration of being outbid by 1 penny !) ……….. The only downside is they look a little to pristine, and I was hoping to get the lower version with less button holes. On the other hand £30 all in, cant be bad.
